Thunder: “His cheerful and positive personality…everything you see in him is Mir’s “everything”, so there’s nothing to hide!”

Thunder: “He doesn’t show us those emotions even if he’s sad, but I heard that he cried when he watched some movie (laugh).”

Q: It has been a year since we had you guys on Kan-Fun. Could you tell your Japanese fans again what your appeal point is?
Thunder: Please listen to our new song “Mona Lisa Japanese version.” By changing it to Japanese lyrics, the tone of voice came out really cute. I think you can feel my appeal point from that.
Q: It is true that some of your fans “cheated” on you with other groups while they waited for your comeback for a year and 5 months. What is strategy to obtain more Japanese fans?
Thunder: I really think we have to do our best. But it’s not a bad thing to like other artists (laugh).
Q: Why did you choose “Mona Lisa” as a comeback song?
Thunder: We debuted with a song with J-pop tastes two years ago since we thought it’s easy for Japanese fans to listen. But we realized that Japanese fans are attracted to our K-Pop style (song), so we choose “Monalisa”, the K-pop song which is loved worldwide, and collaborated with Japanese lyrics.
Q: You had Asia tour last year, what is the impression of Japanese fans?
Thunder: At first, we were wondering what Japanese fans reactions would be like since the culture is different. But I was happy since they were really enthusiastic.
Q: What words do you like to hear from your Japanese fans?
Thunder: I am happy to hear “Oppa, sarang-hae” by Japanese fans who has learned Korean.
Q: What is your dream?
Thunder: I wish my emotional state becomes stable, so living close to a quiet ocean sounds good.

OMAGAT! Another japanese magazine and just like HanRyu mag, Thunder looks great in here! Look at his smile! Aigoo, he looks like a kid XD SeungDoong! Thunder: ”I’m Cheondung, in charge of visual in MBLAQ. Please look forward to MBLAQ’s performance and upgraded stage. I am in charge of “silence” to prevent noise at our dorm. And currently, I am also in charge of nail(art) among male idols (laugh).”
Q: What is your image of “Mona Lisa” that is in your new song?
Thunder: “A woman who has talent and knowledge in her own area. Like someone who is admired by everyone.”
Q: What do you and your sister DARA talk?
Thunder: “When I see my sister who is busy, we always talk about how we are doing these days. We make our friendship stronger and deeper like that (by talking).”
Q: You have said that you have never been in love before, and it was such a news.
Thunder: “Even though I have two sisters, I cannot express my feeling in front of women. I wonder if I could find a girl that makes me relax like my sisters do, I’d be myself, just the way I am. My ideal love? Nothing specific, but it’ll be good if a girl who teaches me love comes to my life.”
Q: How do you keep “yourself” during hectic schedule?
Thunder: ”I try to not forget having a dream, so I read a lot and look back myself. I always carry one book that I like. Today, I have a book called, “Hakuna Matata,” which makes me to look back myself (reconsider how I should be).”

Thunder: “Yukhoe Bibimbap (육회 비빔밥). In the past, only the king was able to eat bibimbap, and now everyone can eat it (that’s why he likes it).”

Q: What kind of activities do you want to do in Japan?
Thunder: ”No matter how big or small it is, I’d like to meet our fans as many as possible. I’d like to meet our fans all over Japan.”
Q: Compare to the time you debuted, what do you think you have changed the most?
Thunder: ”My body (laugh). I have more muscles evenly. I hope it appeals to my fans well. It’ll get better and better in the future.”
Q: And what hasn’t changed?
Thunder: ”I think my taste in music hasn’t changed. I really like our songs.”
Q: What color of clothes you have the most in your closet? What kind of fashion style do you like?
Thunder: ”I think I have black items the most. I like to create many styles by using those items.”

Thunder:” This year, I’d like to release an album with little more matured Cheondung (* I think he wants to release an album after he improves himself.) And I’d like to spend (share) lots of time with my fans.”

Q. If your girlfriend feels down, how would you make her feel better? And if you are feeling down, how would you want your girlfriend to make you feel better?
Thunder: ”I only can try to show her my aegyo. And I will be happy if she tries to show some aegyo for me when I feel down.”

Thunder: “Blue. It is cold color, but at the same time, I think blue is sexy color.”
Q: How many hours do you usually sleep? What time do you get up and go to bed?
Thunder: “It is so irregular, there is no set time.”
Q: What is your style when you sleep?
Thunder: I sleep like a shrimp (laugh). I usually wear a long-sleeve shirt, but it’s getting warmer, so I only swear pants (sweatpants).
Q: What was your childhood nickname?
Thunder: “Jurassic Park” (when he was in Philippines). It is because when you say my last name in English, it is “PARK.”

Thunder: ”I want to go out wearing skirts. Women’ clothes are so cute, so I’d like to go out wearing those. And I want a guy to follow me around (laugh). Thunder: I felt lots of pressure at first. But there are four main characters in this show, so it’s not like I’m the only main one. I was relieved by that. I am enjoying filming since atmosphere during filming is really good. But when I filmed a scene with spring clothes on in the winter, I thought I would die lol. Since this is my first experience in drama, I am working on this with an attitude of “I’m wiling to learn anything.”
Q: How do you spend time with your co-cast, Gyuri from KARA during filming?
Thunder: We share snacks lol. We always do that. And we talk about our industry (entertainment industry). She asks me “is there anything you’re worried?” She’s a nice seonbae(선배).
Q: How people around you reacted when you got a role?
Thunder: My sister DARA got really excited. Seems like she also wants to do acting, so she celebrated her brother doing acting. I don’t live with my members anymore, so we can’t watch the show together. But we are often so busy like we don’t have any time even watching TV, so we try to watch each other’s show when we each have time.

Thunder: We flew to Chitose airport, but the plane couldn’t land because of heavy snow. So we flew back to Haneda (where they departed). And then, we took a cab to go to the station where we took Shinkansen (high-speed rail). And then we took a cab again to go to the airport, and then plane…we used EVERY transportation to get there and we arrived in Sapporo. It was terrible lol

Thunder: I think the song (Mona Lisa Japanese Version) got warm feeling by changing it into Japanese. Like…it’s softer(milder) than the original song…
Any episode while re-filming the MV?
Thunder:We filmed it at an underground parking lot. In fact, the filming day was the coldest day in this winter in Korea! It was soooooo cold. I was freezing while filming, but I think the final piece came out really cool! My body was frozen because of the weather, but I think it helped to give the feeling of nervousness lol
Message to your fans!
Thunder:We’d be happy if you listen to this many times since we put lots of effort into this and we sung it with our feeling of missing all of you.

MBLAQ one fo the sexiest and strongest performing group of K-POP is finally returning to Japan! On March 27 they will kick in a full japanese comeback with the realease of a new japanese single. “MONA LISA – Japanese Version -” for the the first time in a year and five months they will tell us their thoughts in a press conferece. This is the Question and Answer report of the conference.
Q: Now, how are you feeling in come back to your japanese activities?
Seungho: We don’t meet each other in a long time! I’m really happy to be able to return here.
G.O: Even if it was really nice to see some of you while I was in the stage for my solo musical activity, I’m more than glad to meet my fans with the rest of MBLAQ.
Joon: I have a great feeling and I hope I can do a lot better in our future encouters in Japan.
Cheondung: I’m glad to come to Japan again after so many time! Thank you.
Mir: I’ve read a lot from you fans on SNS! It feels nice to finally come to meet you guys in person again.
Q: What you can tell us about MONA LISA – Japanese Version - ?
G.O: Although this will be the first time we will actually promote a japanese version of a korean song the melody is great and you can relate to someone through this song. When we released the original version in Korea the response was great and not only in our country, but also aboard so we’re very glad to lauch a japanese version.
Cheondung: I’m very happy with the japanese lyrics, so I practiced very hard my pronunciation. I was able to learn it more quickly than I thought and I hope I can transmit well the feelings of such great lyrics.
Seungho: At first we thought about translate the exact same content of the Korean lyrics or some that would fit the Korean word pronunciation, but using japanese lyrics we thought that we needed to incorporate the unique sensibility Japan has so we could fit it nicely on our style. Japanese people, our pronunciation might not be perfect, but please, watch warmly the results that practice efforts brought to us and wish us good luck!
Q: For those who don’t know MBLAQ that well, please, introduce the group.
Joon: We are a sexy group! (The translator said that with such a shy smile while speaking it in japanese that it brought laughs even to the MC and Joon quickly apologize for making her uncomfortable) I’m sorry, we’re all very friendly and funny, but we do take our charisma seriously on stage therefore we’re a sexy group.
Mir: We have the best performances, we are all handome and we’re a flawless group, perfect in everything. (Laughs)
Seungho: It’s just like they said. (Laughs)
Q: To Lee Joon, what are your thoughts about shooting the drama IRIS 2?
Joon: I felt that it will be one of the most dificult shooting I will have, I’ve not started to shooting yet, but you have my word that I will do my best.
Q: To Seungho, please sing a song from the musical.
Seungho: I heard that people say that you have to see the whole musical first, because the feeling will only be transmited if you listen to everyone before. So I don’t have to sing now? (Lauhgs, he ended up singing one line of the song with a serious look as if he was acting.)
Q: To G.O, how was like to have a Kiss scene in the musical?
G.O: About that kiss … Is not even a real kiss, actually! it was all an acting technique. (The MC asked for a demonstration and with a shy expression G.O tried to place his face close to Joon’s, but Seungho interrupted causing the audiente to scream louder)
Q: To Cheondung, Dara is a really beautiful sister and everyone ask you about how do you feel if she ever get married in the future, but do you never thought about yourself getting married?
Cheondung seemed surprise: This is the first time someone ask me something like this! I met a woman who had AB blood type once and I like her personality. Who here has AB blood type?
Q: To Mir, If you had a grilfrind, what would you plan for a Valentine’s Day surprise?
Mir: I always thought about it when I was in High School! (Laughs) And I hope I got a chance to do so one thay, I will take her to my hometown on Jeollanam-do province and will make a candle road placing the candles side by side so she could follow it to find me waiting for her by the end of it.
Q: Do you have any messages to your fans?
Seungho: I think that since we debuted here until now wasn’t easy and we want to do a good job and start to work a lot in Japan. Thank you for all your support. G.O and I were able to finish a successful musical performances and now we are here to continue to work hard as MBLAQ in a whole!
G.O: I think that the japanese fans who love MBLAQ haven’t had the chance to live up our affection for them, I would like to respond to their love more from now on!

So turns out the photo of Thunder wearing THE SUIT earlier is from a photoshoot… for Jenny House’s 10th Anniversary.
Jenny House is the hair and make-up salon that MBLAQ goes to along with other regular clients such as After School, Son Dambi, Park Shin Hye, Lee Min Jung and many more. J Style Magazine is their monthly publication that features all the stars that regularly visit their salon, and for their 10th year celebration, they gathered up MBLAQ along with their stylists for a photoshoot.
